1. Applied Behavior Analysis by John Cooper

Written by John Cooper, Applied Behavior Analysis was initially published in 1987 by Merrill Publishing Company and is now in its third edition. This book is perhaps the best study aid for students who are preparing for the Applied Behavior Analysis certification exam. It was originally created for use by students attending the University of Michigan, and it continues to be a valuable ABA textbook today.

2. Brainscape: Learn Behavior Analysis

Brainscape is yet another terrific study aid for students majoring in applied behavior analysis. Brainscape is an online website dedicated to helping students learn and study a wide array of topics. Using the site’s flashcard tool, applied behavior analysis students can study terms pertaining to their field of study. Another great study aid for applied behavior analysis students is the website known as Quizlet. Quizlet is an online learning and study website that provides handy study and learning tools for students who are majoring in a broad range of fields. The site’s valuable flashcard tool helps students study the major terms associated with applied behavior analysis. Practice tests help to sharpen their skills and prepare them for the ABA certification exam.

4. ABA Rocks: A Behavior Analysis Blog

ABA Rocks is another highly helpful study aid for persons studying applied behavior analysis. This site was created by an actual behavior analyst whose goal is to help individuals study for and pass their applied behavior analysis exams. Study aids provided on the site include ABA practice quizzes, flashcards, a forum where students can talk to other ABA students, informational blogs, and a list of ABA resources that can prove to be valuable to applied behavior analysis majors.

5. Cram: BCBA Exam Prep is also a great study aid for applied behavior analysis students. Cram has been providing study aids online since January of 2001. The site focuses on flashcards because of their effectiveness in helping students study. Cram currently offers more than 500 flashcards pertaining to applied behavior analysis. Users are also able to test their knowledge by taking one of Cram’s practice quizzes. Correct answers are given after tests are submitted.

Graduates of ABA programs and students who are preparing to complete their programs will need to complete the Applied Behavior Analysis exam before they can become certified.
