Mary Baldwin University offers a Bachelor of Arts in Autism Studies Applied Behavior Analysis, Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis, Master of Education in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Comprehensive Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders.
The Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis provides students with the necessary education and skills to address autism and related conditions in today’s education field. The program requires the completion of 47 to 48 credits. The ABA courses include Basic Concepts and Principles of ABA, Behavior Assessment, Behavior Change Procedures, ABA Ethics and Professional Standards, ABA Personnel Management, Data Collection and Research Design, and Measurement, Data and Experimental Design. Graduates are prepared to take the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst Examination. The program is available both at the Staunton campus and online. Students also have the ability to earn their master’s degree with an additional year of study. The total graduate requirements are 35 credit hours. A minor in ABA is also available for students majoring in other areas.

The Comprehensive Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders helps professionals work with and support individuals with ASD and related conditions. Mary Baldwin University is a private coeducational institution of higher learning located in Staunton, Virginia. It was established in 1842 as Augusta Female Seminary. It became Mary Baldwin Seminary in 1895 to honor the esteemed principal. It became a junior college in 1916 and changed its name to Mary Baldwin College in 1923. It began admitting men in 1977. Master’s degrees started in 1992. Doctoral programs began in 2014 and the school finally became Mary Baldwin University in 2014. Today, Mary Baldwin University is home to nearly 2,000 students on its urban 58-acre campus. It operates on the 4-1-4 academic calendar.
