St. Cloud State University offers a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. The program strives to provide the necessary education, research skills, clinical abilities, and professional skills to enable students to meet the needs of a variety of individuals, groups, and communities. Students gain an understanding of behavior analysis with specialization in autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, program assessment, community integration methods, and organizational development and professional training and development. The program is available both on campus and online. A minimum of 45 credits are needed to complete the program. Students have the ability to select either the thesis track or comprehensive examination track. The core courses include: Applied Behavior Analysis, Experimental Analysis of Behavior, Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Applications, Behavioral Assessment, Ethics in Psychology and Behavior Analysis, and Social Bases of Behavior. Students must also complete a 750-hour clinical internship in an approved setting. Graduates of the program are prepared to take the Behavior Analyst Certification Examination.

About St. Cloud State University

St. Cloud State University is a public institution of higher learning located in St. Cloud Minnesota. It is one of the biggest schools within the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System. It was founded in 1869 as Third State Normal School. It stated offering a junior college curriculum in 1898 and in 1914 the school ceased its secondary education offerings. The name was changed to St. Cloud State Teachers College in 1921. The first bachelor’s degree was granted in 1925. Master’s degree programs began in 1953. In 1957, the school became St. Cloud College. It finally became St. Cloud State University in 1975. Today, St. Cloud State University is home to over 15,000 students on its 100-acre campus. It functions on the semester-based academic calendar.

St. Cloud State University is home to the College of Liberal Arts, School of the Arts, College of Science and Engineering, School of Education, School of Computing, Engineering and Environment, Herberger Business School, School of Public Affairs, and School of Health and Human Services. Through these schools of education, St. Cloud State University offers 200 majors, minors, and pre-professional programs and over 60 graduate programs and two doctoral degrees. St. Cloud State University is committed to preparing students for life, employment, and citizenship in today’s dynamic world. The student to faculty ratio is 21 to one, with about 43 percent of classes with less than 20 students.

The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools regionally accredits St. Cloud State University. The university is authorized to grant associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees as well as undergraduate and graduate certificates. Federal Work Study

The Federal Work Study (FWS) is a program funded by the federal government that enables students who show a financial need the opportunity to work part-time to help pay for their higher education. Students can find jobs both on and off campus and the program encourages community service positions or those related to future professions. Students have the ability to work up to 20 hours a week while classes are in session and they must maintain satisfactory academic progress. The pay is at least the current federal minimum wage, but varies on each situation.
