Texas A & M University Application Requirements

An essay about one and a half pages long is required, along with a $75 application fee that is non-refundable.

Current high school students must fill out a Self-Reported Academic Record that includes both completed and anticipated classes. High school graduates and GED recipients will need to furnish all official transcripts. ACT and SAT scores are also necessary.

Students with previous college credit should apply as transfer students. The coursework must include 24 hours of credit and a 2.5 GPA. After submitting the online application and fee, students will need to submit official college transcripts.

Graduate students must have a Bachelor’s degree, professional degree, or the equivalent. Applicants will also need to submit a GRE score from the testing agency where they took the exam for consideration for admission.

Online applicants will follow the same process as on-campus applicants. All documents should be submitted to the address provided to ensure faster processing.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition costs range from $225 per credit hour to $550 per credit hour, depending on the individual program, the student’s Texas residency status, and whether they reside on or off-campus. There are also flexible options for some students.

Incoming students have a choice between locked and variable rate plans. The locked rate uses a four-year compounded average, which keeps the price fixed over twelve semesters. The variable rate depends on factors that include the cost of inflation. Transfer and re-admit students may also opt into these options according to their needs.
